InsuranceDekho has officially unveiled its new SaaS platform, Heph, designed to transform the insurance distribution landscape. Launched on August 26, Heph promises to revolutionize operations with its all-encompassing approach, addressing every facet of insurance operations from user interfaces to backend systems.
Heph integrates four primary modules—Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), Point of Sale Persons (POSP), lending, and embedded insurance—catering to a broad spectrum of clients such as banks, Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), brokers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), financial technology firms, and digital enterprises.
The platform boasts access to an extensive array of over 650 insurance products and facilitates collaboration with insurers, streamlining the management and optimization of insurance offerings. It is designed to integrate with various distribution channels, including assisted sales, direct-to-consumer models, and embedded insurance solutions, thanks to its comprehensive API integration.
Heph is introduced to tackle major challenges in insurance distribution. It features seamless digital policy issuance, multilingual capabilities, and an expanded reach. The platform enhances targeting and conversion rates through advanced customer segmentation and lead scoring tools, mitigates policy lapses with automated management and renewal tracking, and offers actionable insights via real-time analytics. Additionally, its post-policy modules simplify claims and endorsements, ensuring efficient after-sales service.
Financial operations are streamlined with Heph’s tools for instant commission processing, digital reconciliation, and automated payment handling. With strong API integrations, customizable workflows, and stringent security measures, Heph supports efficient operations, scalability, and consistent revenue growth while adhering to Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) regulations.
Ayush Bagmar, the business head of Heph, stated, “Our platform is not just a service but a tool for businesses to reimagine their insurance operations. By blending advanced technology with industry knowledge, we empower our clients to offer exceptional insurance experiences.”
Ankit Agrawal, co-founder and CEO of InsuranceDekho, commented, “This launch marks a pivotal shift in how insurance products are distributed and managed in India, fostering growth for our partners and enhancing consumer accessibility.”
Founded in 2016 by Ankit Agrawal and Ish Babbar, InsuranceDekho offers a wide range of services including investment options and tax schemes in addition to insurance. The company now collaborates with 48 insurance firms, providing over 630 insurance plans. The launch of Heph follows recent high-profile leadership appointments, including Manish Mahajan as Chief Business Officer for consumer business.
