Mrs. Yetunde Ilori, the incoming president of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), has announced an ambitious agenda aimed at propelling the insurance industry into a new era of growth and innovation. During a press briefing held in Lagos, Ilori unveiled her strategic plan, encapsulated by the acronym EPIC, which represents Education, Professionalism, Institutional Recognition, and Capacity Building.
As the former Director-General of the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA), Ilori brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She highlighted her vision to harness technology to enhance insurance education, foster a culture of professionalism, and cultivate specialized expertise in emerging areas within the industry.
Ilori’s comprehensive agenda includes several key initiatives. She plans to enrich educational programs, stimulate innovation, uphold ethical standards, and bolster collaborations with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders. Additionally, Ilori aims to establish a reputable awards program, strengthen the CIIN secretariat, and create valuable internship opportunities for aspiring professionals.
