QBE Insurance is intensifying efforts to bolster claims support for its Australian clientele, drawing on lessons learned from recent severe weather incidents, notably the 2022 East Coast floods.
The insurer’s strategy focuses on reducing claim delays, improving communication, and strengthening risk management practices. A key component of this initiative is the introduction of the Property Health Check Program, which employs a team of specialists to perform in-depth evaluations of complex property claims. This proactive measure aims to swiftly identify and resolve issues, providing timely support to affected policyholders.
Additionally, QBE has implemented geospatial technology in its response to the Australian pilot following Tropical Cyclone Jasper. This innovation has enhanced the speed of claim assessments, decreased dependence on external evaluations, and accelerated recovery processes.
