Alliant Insurance Services has officially acquired Health Market Solutions, LLC (HMS), a health insurance agency founded in 2022 and specializing in Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans. HMS, based in Florida, leverages advanced data science and human expertise to assist consumers in selecting their healthcare plans. Since its inception, the agency has expanded to serve thousands of clients across over 20 states.
This acquisition comes amid a period of rapid growth within the ACA marketplace. Enrollment for ACA health plans has hit record numbers for the third consecutive year, with over 21 million individuals signing up through health insurance marketplaces for 2024.
Greg Zimmer, CEO of Alliant, highlighted HMS’s impressive growth, achieved through a blend of service and innovation. “Partnering with Health Market Solutions allows Alliant to further our reach in the ACA market while investing in top-tier talent and technologies to strengthen our market position,” Zimmer stated.
Rick Ulmer, Senior Managing Director of Alliant Consumer Group, emphasized the added value HMS brings. “HMS’s team offers additional innovation and market intelligence that will support our continued expansion within the ACA market,” Ulmer remarked. “Their exceptional growth, high-level service, and strong strategic relationships make this a potent partnership.”
The acquisition will see HMS integrated into the Alliant Consumer Group, which oversees Alliant’s consumer-facing operations. HMS’s entire team will transition to Alliant as part of the deal.

The financial terms of the agreement between Alliant and HMS were not disclosed.
