Jubilee Life Insurance Corporation of Tanzania Limited has introduced a new campaign, “There’s Living, and There’s Living Free,” aimed at boosting financial literacy in East Africa. CEO Helena Mzena stressed the importance of financial education for securing a brighter future for individuals and communities.
The campaign will offer resources on investment and insurance to help individuals make informed decisions and achieve financial stability. This initiative will be rolled out in Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya, featuring extensive media coverage, including ads on radio, TV, and out-of-home platforms.
Mzena highlighted that financial literacy in the region lags behind developed areas, with rates at 40% in Tanzania, 34% in Uganda, and 38% in Kenya. The campaign aims to bridge this gap and address the broader economic impact of financial ignorance.
Dr. Harold Adamson, CEO of Jubilee Health Insurance, emphasized the campaign’s relevance amidst rising financial and mental health challenges. He expressed confidence that the initiative will improve quality of life and financial stability.
The campaign will run through 2024 and into 2025, targeting increased financial resilience across East Africa.
