QBE has named Simon Lascelles as its new Director of Underwriting for Marine. This appointment aligns with expectations of a rebound in the UK marine sector next year.
Kevin Shallow, Executive Director of International Markets, praised Lascelles for his extensive experience and leadership skills, noting that he will be key in strengthening QBE’s market position. Lascelles, with QBE since 2014, previously worked at Marsh and Aon. He holds an Honors degree in Music from King’s College London and additional qualifications from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
This change is part of QBE’s broader efforts to enhance its market presence, which also include Fabian Desch’s promotion to General Manager for Germany, subject to regulatory approval, and Davide Anselmo’s appointment as General Manager for Italy.
