Tune Protect Group has announced the appointment of How Kim Lian as Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and Teoh Kek Pin as Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO), effective July 29.
In his role as GCEO, How Kim Lian will spearhead efforts to broaden Tune Protect’s footprint within the lifestyle ecosystem and forge partnerships with regional entities to position the Group as a leading player in the travel insurance sector. His approach will emphasize the Group’s strengths in technology and reinsurance, aiming to deliver a seamless customer experience and a comprehensive range of global products.
How, who has been with Tune Protect since 2020 as GCFO, takes over the role from Rohit Nambiar, who resigned in May 2024. During his tenure as GCFO, How was instrumental in overseeing procurement, legal, and corporate secretarial functions, as well as shaping crucial financial strategies, assessing operational trends, and pinpointing growth opportunities.
In addition to his new role, How will continue to serve as a Director at Tune Protect Re Ltd. and Tune Protect Thailand. Prior to joining Tune Protect, he was the Group Deputy Chief Financial Officer at AirAsia, bringing a wealth of experience in Finance Transformation, Programme Management, Enterprise Performance Management, and Investor Relations. How is also a member of the Australian Society of CPAs, the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, the Institute of Internal Auditors, and is a Certified Internal Auditor.
Teoh Kek Pin, the newly appointed GCFO, will oversee strategic financial management, corporate finance, and external financial relations. Before joining Tune Protect, Teoh served as CFO at The Pacific Insurance Berhad.
