HONG KONG — MoneyHero has introduced a fully integrated car insurance purchasing feature on its platform, developed in collaboration with global insurtech company bolttech. The new service enables customers to compare real-time quotes, customize their coverage, and complete purchases directly through MoneyHero, eliminating the need to navigate third-party websites.
The launch marks a significant step in MoneyHero’s strategy to expand its digital insurance offerings and strengthen its position as a key digital distribution partner in the Hong Kong market.
According to the company, the streamlined feature is expected to drive both customer acquisition and insurer sales. MoneyHero has already seen rapid growth within its insurance segment, reporting a 54% year-over-year revenue increase during the first nine months of 2024. The firm anticipates that car insurance will replicate the success of its travel insurance product, which achieved a twofold increase in conversion rates after adopting a similar end-to-end purchasing model.
MoneyHero CEO Rohith Murthy said the launch addresses the rising demand for a seamless, fully digital insurance experience, reinforcing the company’s market presence.
“Our goal is to make insurance easier and more accessible for our customers. This new feature delivers a simple, transparent way to buy car insurance and strengthens MoneyHero’s leadership in the digital insurance space,” Murthy said.
